Filmmaking Club
Our Voice is a charitable community group that works to empower maginalised groups of people, break down barriers and challenge negative stereotypes.
For this project Pageant Productions has just started running a filmmaking club for adults with learning disabilities. The club will teach people filmmaking skills and support participants to make films about topics that interest them. The club is currently at capaity but we are hoping to build capacity early in the new year.
What has filmmaking club been up to recently?
We have been learning a few different skills already, including planning a story, using light wisely, and using cutaways. To put these skills into practice the group made a short film telling the story: How to make a cup of tea. Some of the group have been learning this independent living skill recently. Jack & James discuss how Jack has learned to make a cup of tea.
