How can we get our footage to you?

For smaller projects we suggest using a file sharing service like Dropbox or WeTransfer.

WeTransfer does not require registration and is free to send files up to 2GB. You will need to enter our email address: support@pageantproductions.co.uk

If you have a Dropbox account you can upload your video files to a Dropbox folder and then share that folder with us. Dropbox offers you online storage for free (up to 2GB in size). 

From Your Phone

Both Dropbox and WeTransfer make it simple to send files from a smartphone or tablet. Dropbox has an app that you can use to upload photos or video from your phone. You will find this on your phones App Store. WeTransfer has a simple website that allows you to transfer video from your device.

To make sending files even easier we have have added a menu option to our website for Flexi Film members to use. Simply hover over the menu item 'Support' at the top of the page and you will see an option for 'Upload Video'. Click on this link and you will be taken to a Dropbox page that allows you to upload video content directly to us. We will be notified when your video arrives.

We can't. do much about internet speeds.

Uploading large video files will be tricky for anyone who doesn't have a fast internet connection. Unfortunately there is little we can do to help you there. If your smart phone has a data connection, you may find that turning off your WiFi and uploading using cellular data may be faster. If you are using a laptop, are you able to connect to your phone as a WiFi hotspot? - Note: Your mobile phone provider may charge you for this service or for data usage so we advise you to check the costs before trying this.

Can I use WhatsApp?

If you are struggling with any of these options, there is also WhatsApp, another smartphone app that many are familiar with. This is not our preferred option as WhatsApp compresses video before sending it. This will lessen the quality of the video we receive. There are also limits on size and length of the video file. This is probably only an option for small clips and only if other methods have failed. Our number for receiving WhatsApp messages is 07837367844. 

Large Projects & Files

If you have lots of large, high quality video files from a big project then we suggest putting them on an encrypted portable hard drive and sending it to us or dropping it at our office. Make sure you have a backup before giving us the files, we can not be held responsible for any loss or damage.
